Paintings

Painting is an extension of drawing. The exploration is more involved with the addition of colour. The infinite subtleties of light on a form must be summarized. Observations must be edited or a painting would never be done. Light and colour ever changing, elusive and ephemeral.

With painting there is also more physicality. The texture of the paint adds another dimension, another delicious tool to employ. The brushstroke, the action of pushing the rich pigment across the surface is a seductive process.
